The Finnish Red Cross Blood Service 60th Anniversary Symposium "From Stem Cells to Therapy" is now behind us. We feel honoured to say that it truly was a success.

It has been a real pleasure to organize this symposium to honour the six decades of our Blood Service. All who took part in this process did it without counting the hours. We feel that we had a great opportunity to learn more about the field of stem cells in which the FRCBS has been involved for over 15 years. The wheather was beautiful – even the sun was shining – and the venue in Hanasaari, Espoo was perfect. What a reward after all the effort.

However, I dare to say that the real reason why this symposium was a success, was that we had a possibility to hear top-level, charismatic scientists that have both  long term and future perceptive on stem cell therapy and science. The atmosphere was stimulating due to distinguished speakers and professional audience that was gathered together in Hanasaari.

One day symposium passes quickly, even too quickly. On behalf of the organizing committee I thank our speakers, participants and all those who made this possible. Thank you!

Let us together enable the future progress in stem cell therapy.
